Festival of short stories “Where I’m calling from”, the ninth in a row, starting next week, precisely from the 27th of June, and will last until the first of July. This year’s festival will, on the first day, mark the presentation of Chinese literature and culture, which the bookshop “Karver” organizes with the support of the company CRBC and partnership with the Confucius Institute in Podgorica.

After performance of the music trio, Miodrag Jovović, Vladimir Krnetić and Martin Djordjevic, a part of the second evening will be devoted to Podgorica. Personal vision about the capital city will bring out, in addition to others, Staša Aras, Ljiljana Dirjan and Ljube Labović.

The guest of the festival “Where I’m calling from”, on Friday 30th of June, will be a writer Slobodan Šnajder, one of the most interesting authors within this area and in Europe. He’s going to talk about his creativity with literary critic Marinko Vorgić

On the last day of the festival, the magazine “Script” will be presented to the audience, after which the show “A bit about the soul” will close the festival. It is a musical-set design, which is the adaptation of the poetry of the Polish poetess, Vislave Šimborske.

Segment of the festival will be a promotion, of one of the most respected regional literary contests of short stories, “Vranac”. The competition, which has been organised since 2010, has so far received over 5,000 stories, and prizes awarded to 24 authors.
